  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Spurs are currently languishing in 16th in the Premier League table, while Fulham are ninth, and Silva has been touted as a potential option to replace Postecoglou, should the north London club decide to make a change in the dugout. The club are in the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will take on Bodo/Glimt, but even victory in the competition may not be enough to keep Postecoglou in his post.

Nevertheless, Silva has played down links with a move across the capital, as they continue to cling to the remote possibility of qualifying for Europe. Fulham are currently nine points behind Aston Villa in seventh with five games to play.

  • WHAT MARCO SILVA SAID

Speaking after Fulham lost 2-1 to Chelsea, Silva told A Bola: “My head is at Fulham. We don’t control everything that happens around us. It’s not part of me.

“With such important games week after week, our total focus is here and we control what we can, which is preparing the players for the next games.”
