Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds was full of praise for Wrexham's 'impossible dream' as the actor celebrated a third successive promotion.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Alongside his wife, Blake Lively, and co-owner, Rob McElhenney, Reynolds was blown away by the achievement of the football club since they took charge. The Red Dragons secured a record third successive promotion after victory over Charlton and Reynolds was enthralled by the determination of the players, staff and fans of the club to realise their potential.

WHAT REYNOLDS SAID
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Reynolds said: "Never ignore a successful man [Rob McElhenney] who slides into your DMs. Trust me. I have a whole system!
"It just seemed like an impossible dream. This community, I am speechless with their passion and emotion and transformation.
"Phil Parkinson – you can look at so many beating hearts at the club but it all comes down to Phil: the leadership in the locker room, we don't make football decisions,
"We were standing there four years ago and this man said it was our goal to make it to the Premier League. There was a lot of laughter and giggles but it starts to feel like a real tangible thing that could come to fruition.
"If you want to see what it means. go into the dressing room after a loss and nothing can console them. That's where you see the grit that these players have. It means everything to them."

Reynolds and McElhenney have overseen the rise of Wrexham from the National League all the way to the Championship. Since taking over, the Hollywood actors have invested in and transformed the club to allow them to reach the second division of English football for the first time since 1982. While expectations of reaching the Premier League at the first attempt next season may seem far-fetched, the Hollywood owners may have reason to dream big.
