Barcelona have reportedly offered wonderkid Pau Cubarsi a new lucrative contract with a €1 billion release clause.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    According to Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan side have sent a new contract proposal to the centre-back, which includes a long-term deal, a pay rise, and a €1 billion (£855m/$1.08b) release clause. He adds they hope to tie the 17-year-old down to new terms before the end of the season.

    Cubarsi is another success story of Barcelona's La Masia academy. The youngster is making a big impact in the Spanish giants' first-team, alongside Pedri, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, and more. At a time when the club has struggled financially, these importance of the academy cannot be overstated.
