WHAT HAPPENED?
Maddison was injured for the Europa League final in Bilbao, which Tottenham won by beating Manchester United 1-0. The midfielder then dressed up in his kit for the trophy presentation, something John Terry made headlines for when Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Terry was suspended for that 2012 triumph over Bayern Munich after being sent off in the semi-final against Barcelona. He was then mocked after appearing on the pitch in his full kit to receive his medal and lift the trophy.

Maddison initially posted on his Instagram story: "To kit. Full John Terry mode. Anything to say tonight John?"
Terry replied: "I remember my first trophy. Ah bless them. Get the tequila out. Great season from you boys, you should all be proud!"
