VIDEO: Harry Kane scores against Tottenham on Bayern Munich return and then skies awful penalty in friendly clash

Harry Kane faced off against his boyhood side Tottenham Hotspur for just the second time since his move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, and immediately showed the Lilywhites what they were missing with a superb goal. However, the England captain then had a moment to forget minutes later when he skied his penalty over the crossbar as he lost his footing.

Tottenham will always be a special part of Kane's life; however, the England striker showed them absolutely no mercy in the pre-season friendly clash between the Lilywhites and Bayern Munich. Just 12 minutes into the clash, Kane got on the end of a wonderful ball from Michael Olise and managed to slot the ball past Guglielmo Vicario. However, the Tottenham top-scorer then failed to double the Bavarians' when he flopped his penalty into Row Z.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Kane spent 19 years with Tottenham, rising up through the ranks into the senior team in 2009. The England captain played a total of 435 games for the side and scored 280 goals, a record for the Lilywhites. Since his move to Bayern Munich, the North London side has gone through the ringer, but both the Lilywhites and Kane have managed to win a trophy, something that eluded them while they were together.
